An impressionable and vulnerable Arabic man gets thrust into a hellish prison, and ironically discovers greater opportunities for success than he ever possessed outside of the bars, in this violent melodrama from French succès d’estime Jacques Audiard (The Beat That My Heart Skipped). Tahar Rahim stars as Malik El Djebena, a petty criminal incarcerated for six years. Once inside and subjected to all of the standard brutalities that most prisoners endure (including a rough strip search), he is quickly educated in the "ways" of the prison, an institution torn violently between gangs of Corsicans and Arabs. The head Corsican thug, César Luciani (Niels Arestrup), offers Malik an ultimatum: either he rubs out an Arab inmate named Reyeb (Hichem Yacoubi), or he himself dies. Not only does Malik succeed with the hit, he earns the begrudging respect of the other prisoners, and — after securing several days' release for good behavior — uses off-time to forge a deeper and more multi-layered network of criminal ties than he ever dreamed possible. But as his own power and confidence grow, they threaten to outstrip César's own insistence on submission and obedience at all costs.

An unflinching comedy about why women choose motherhood, why they revere it, fear it, and why some women choose to forgo it. Over the course of one explosive evening, two couples and a surrogate must face their own ridiculous and sometimes heartbreaking shortcomings. With sharp cutting dialogue and complicated characters, EGG is about the personal, social, professional, and ideological implications of bringing new life into the world. Artist Tina (Alysia Reiner, “Orange Is the New Black”) and her passive-aggressive feminist husband (Gbenga Akinnagbe, “The Deuce”) invite her eight-months pregnant art school rival (Christina Hendricks, "Mad Men") and power hungry, new-money husband (David Alan Basche, The Exes) to their Brooklyn loft, surprising them with Tina’s new work-in-progress: a radical alternative to motherhood. But when their sensuous, non-traditional surrogate arrives (Anna Camp, Pitch Perfect) the truth comes out, and the patriarchy fights to hang on by its teeth.

During his four-decade career as a photographer and explorer, James Balog has focused his lens on the complex relationship between humans and nature. Human activity has now surpassed all other forces shaping our world. Balog’s work has challenged us to contemplate our place in, and responsibility to, the natural world. Balog investigates how altering the elements is in turn affecting everyday Americans right now. The Human Element features subjects who are often overlooked victims of climate change. Balog visits Tangier Island, a fishing community facing the imminent reality of sea level rise threatening their future. We meet Yadira Sanchez and her three children in Denver, Colorado, all of whom suffer from asthma, and attend a special school for children struggling with air. Balog embeds with a Cal Fire strike team on the frontlines of the most expensive wildfire in California history. And he ventures deep into Kentucky coal country, meeting unemployed miners finding hope from a new source. Balog argues that humans are part of the whole system of nature and not apart from it. Knowing this, he finds great hope that the fifth element, the human element, can bring the whole system back into balance.

"My Generation" tells the inspiring story of the pop culture explosion in 1960s through the eyes of Britain’s greatest living movie actor. Michael Caine introduces the film in the buttoned up, monochrome heart of London at the start of the 1960s, in a world blighted by economic hardship with WW2 rationing having ended only six years earlier. In 1960s London a new generation has come of age. They’re energised, rebellious and hopeful. It’s these young men and women, particularly the working class, that were to have a huge impact on popular culture as barriers collapsed and the world headed into the most tumultuous decade of the century. The documentary transforms into glorious technicolour as the cultural revolution gathers momentum and we’re enveloped in the kinetic world of London in the mid-1960s, an era marked by the rise of Beatlemania, the first star photographers, film makers and advertisers, creative people who embrace the exploding world of mass media with astonishing results.

Coming-of-age as rude awakening: one high school senior’s dawning sexuality is shadowed by the discovery of his upper-class white family’s looming financial ruin. His father (Brazilian screen staple Marcello Novaes), a failed hedge-fund baron, tries vainly to conceal the true extent of the damage, as his formerly sheltered wife resorts to peddling cosmetics. An international audience favorite, Casa Grande has stirred lively, searching discussion among Brazilians of the often repressed realities of stubborn racial bias and stark income inequality.

Tucked in the rolling hills of West Virginia, the town of Parkersburg is described by those who live there as an idyllic place to raise a family. It's also home to a sprawling DuPont chemical plant that manufactures Teflon. Wilbur Tennant’s family farm was located next to a “non-hazardous” landfill operated by the chemical company. When he noticed his cows were mysteriously dying, he filmed what was happening on the farm, and the toxic legacy of C8 – DuPont's Teflon chemical – was discovered. Then one autumn day in 2000, local schoolteacher Joe Kiger opened his mail and found a letter in his water bill informing him that C8 was in his drinking water, but safe for consumption. The trail of deception he and his wife Darlene uncovered made the sleepy town of Parkersburg the epicenter of one of the largest class action lawsuits in the history of environmental law. Internal documents and secret in-house studies reveal a disturbing truth: DuPont had knowingly been pumping a poisonous chemical into the air and public water supply of more than 70,000 people for decades. Bucky Bailey, the son of a former DuPont worker named Sue, is now 35 and happily married. But Bucky was born with severe facial deformities. As he awaits the birth of his first child, geneticists have warned him and his wife Melinda that there is a 50% chance the baby will inherit the deformities he attributes to sky-high levels of C8 in his blood. As the citizens of Parkersburg rise up against the forces that polluted their town, the story builds out to dozens of other American cities. Exposure to the chemical has even become a global phenomenon, spreading to places like China, Australia, and the Netherlands. Parkersburg is ground zero for this story, but this clearly is not about one place or one chemical: because of the power of the chemical lobby, C8 is one of more than 80,000+ untested chemicals that have been approved for use, their dangers unknown.

For decades, her work pushed boundaries that often alienated her from both her peers and those in power in the art world. Kusama was an underdog with everything stacked against her: the trauma of growing up in Japan during World War II, life in a dysfunctional family that discouraged her creative ambitions, sexism and racism in the art establishment, mental illness in a culture where that was particularly shameful and even continuing to pursue and be devoted to her art full time on the cusp of her 90s. In spite of it all, Kusama has endured and has created a legacy of artwork that spans the disciplines of painting, sculpture, installation art, performance art, poetry and literary fiction. After working as an artist for over six decades, people around the globe are experiencing her installation Infinity Mirrored Rooms in record numbers, as Kusama continues to create new work every day.

After publicly clashing in a debate over the concept of Islamic reform in the Muslim world, prominent atheist philosopher Sam Harris and Islamist-turned-liberal-Muslim Maajid Nawaz reconnect several years later in an attempt at civil and honest dialogue. Sam and Maajid attempt to explore their real or imagined divides by clearly and rationally dissecting their disagreements. Through the course of their discussions, they tackle troubling passages from the Quran, the importance of the precision of language and terms (such as “Jihadism,” “Islamists,” and “radical,”) and the difficulty in finding helpful and honest responses in a fraught political terrain. Ultimately, this unlikely collaboration sheds light on the many confusions that afflict the public conversation about Islam and emphasizes how the virtues of open dialogue can help foster both understanding and tolerance in an increasingly polarized world.

Narrated by Oscar Nominee MICKEY ROURKE – Former Government physicist Bob Lazar made headlines world-wide in 1989 when he came forward with his account of reverse-engineering an alien spacecraft for the US Military. The reason the public even knows the name Area 51 is because Lazar talked about the work he did at the formerly secret military base. Burdened with a revolutionary secret, he had to choose between his oath to his country or his conscience. His wife believes him, his mom believes him, and the closer you get to his inner-circle, the more YOU believe him. His testimony remains the most controversial and important UFO story of all time; especially if it’s true. Lazar blew the whistle, shocked the world, then went silent.Corbell’s film intimately chronicles the triumphs and travails of a cosmic whistleblower. It investigates Lazar’s groundbreaking claims of our government’s secret program to create a fierce technology based on recovered alien vehicles. It reveals the devastating impact his actions have had on his life over the course of the last thirty years. His public disclosures have turned his life upside-down and he has tried to stay out of the spotlight. For this reason, has never let any journalist or filmmaker into the private world of his daily life – that is – until now.Providing rare and never before revealed footage, Corbell's film will shake the foundations of your beliefs and permanently alter the landscape of the debate.

The band is literally stuck underground, having practiced for over a decade in their parents' basement without mustering the confidence to venture out for a public gig. When Turo and his bandmates Jynkky, Lotvonen and Pasi receive a surprise visit from the promoter of a huge heavy metal music festival in Norway, they decide it’s now or never. After an awkward warm-up gig, the band — which chooses the name Impaled Rektum — must find new motivation to chase their dreams. With a new original song under their belt, and inspiration from the pretty girl next door at the local flower shop, the band hits the road and goes full metal, stealing a death van, transporting a corpse, kidnapping a new drummer from the mental hospital, and fleeing to Norway, with the authorities in hot pursuit, to play their first real gig.

Trading in his catcher's mitt for a trench coat, Berg must rely on his formidable, steel-trap intellect in a high-stakes game of cat and mouse—with the fate of the world hanging in the balance. Jeff Daniels, Paul Giamatti, and Sienna Miller costar in this remarkable slice of forgotten history.

An entire country watched transfixed as a poised, beautiful African-American woman in a blue dress sat before a Senate committee of 14 white men and with a clear, unwavering voice recounted the repeated acts of sexual harassment she had endured while working with U.S. Supreme Court nominee Clarence Thomas. That October day in 1991 Anita Hill, a bookish law professor from Oklahoma, was thrust onto the world stage and instantly became a celebrated, hated, venerated, and divisive figure. Anita Hill’s graphic testimony was a turning point for gender equality in the U.S. and ignited a political firestorm about sexual misconduct and power in the workplace that resonates still today. She has become an American icon, empowering millions of women and men around the world to stand up for equality and justice. Against a backdrop of sex, politics, and race, “Anita” reveals the intimate story of a woman who spoke truth to power. Directed by Academy Award-winning filmmaker Freida Mock, the film is both a celebration of Anita Hill’s legacy and a rare glimpse into her private life with friends and family, many of whom were by her side that fateful day 22 years ago. Anita Hill courageously speaks openly and intimately for the first time about her experiences that led her to testify before the Senate and the obstacles she faced in simply telling the truth. She also candidly discusses what happened to her life and work in the 22 years since.

Based on the best-selling book by George Knapp & Dr. Colm Kelleher, Hunt for The Skinwalker investigates the confidential, most extensive scientific study of a paranormal hotspot in human history. Skinwalker Ranch in Utah is famous throughout the world because of the myriad of frightening, seemingly supernatural events that have been reported in the scenic basin surrounding the property for hundreds of years. Sightings include orbs, UFOs, animal mutilations, unknown creatures, poltergeist-type activity, and many other inexplicable incidents. An exhaustive, multidisciplinary scientific study began in 1996, spearheaded by an enigmatic Las Vegas billionaire. A team of PhD-level investigators was deployed to collect evidence and spent more than a decade on the ground, interviewing witnesses, searching for explanations, and directly confronting an unknown intelligence. Recent headlines have revealed that a second, government-funded but confidential study was initiated by the Defense Intelligence Agency (DIA). This second investigation was designed to determine if the phenomena at the ranch might have national security implications or could point to technological breakthroughs. The shroud of mystery hanging above Skinwalker Ranch and the Uintah Basin has fascinated director Jeremy Corbell for years. He finally journeyed to the property to interview eyewitnesses – including the new owner of the ranch – and uncover rare, previously unreleased recordings. Internationally-known singer Robbie Williams, with a lifelong interest in paranormal phenomena, is one of the few outsiders allowed to accompany the documentary team in visiting the ranch.
