For the first time in 14 years, the almighty Dipset is back to the music and sound more united than ever. Cam’Ron, Jim Jones, Juelz Santana, and Freezy Zeeky have been estranged in times past, but their new Diplomatic Ties album signals that their bond was weakened but never severed.
With the help of two singles, “Sauce Boyz” and “On God” featuring Belly, the Dipset rang the alarm on their return in ways unexpected and over top of the sound that made the group popular. The group’s last project, Diplomatic Immunity 2, dropped in 2004 and each rapping member of the crew has gone on to forge solid and active solo careers.
Across nine tracks, Diplomatic Ties fuses the sounds of the new and old, with the gang reconnecting with The Heatmakerz for that classic Dipset sound onto current sounds with the likes of Murda Beatz. Features include the likes of Trav, who runs heavy with Capo, Tory Lanez, who has proven himself to be a spitter worth respecting of late, and the still-potent rapping trio of The Lox. For true Dipset fans, they’ll recognize the name Un Casa, who appears on the album’s intro.
Hopefully, this is just a warmup for the gang and they’ll hit the booth to give us more of that New York heat as only they can.
Check out Diplomatic Ties via the streams below. Hit this link to support the album with your ears or your pockets.

Kanye West continues to move to the beat of his own free thinking drum. Yeezy’s new album is due out tomorrow (June 1), and he has heads out in Wyoming today (May 31) to listen to the album.
Some of those privy to get in on the listening session’s guest list include the UK’s DJ Semtex, Karen Civil and Roc Nation’s Lenny S.
Also, YesJulz seems to have gotten an invite despite her cookout invite getting revoked. But hey, Yeezy is about that MAGA life so maybe it makes sense after all.
Expect more heads to flex their “influence” by letting their followers know they are in Jackson Hole, Wyoming as the day goes on.

Jay-Z‘s TIDAL service might be under some scrutiny over streaming numbers, but the music subscription service has been news on the horizon. The Brooklyn business mogul is working on a new project from the late Prince, slated for release next year.
The Prince Estate and Tidal announced today that the streaming service will exclusively debut an album of previously unreleased music by the late artist. According to the announcement, the album will contain “previously unreleased music sourced from Prince’s vast archive of Vault recordings.”
The album – expected to be released in 2019 – will stream exclusively on Tidal for fourteen days and will be available for download seven days after its debut, although which label will distribute the album was unclear: The announcement only says “A global physical release is planned via The Prince Estate following the exclusive digital premiere on Tidal.”
The outlet adds that the project will differ from one slated for a September release and overseen by Prince’s estate adviser Troy Carter.
UPDATE: Featuring Jeezy, Chris Brown, Lil Pump, Lil Yachty and more.
Here’s everything we know about Ariana Grande’s upcoming fourth studio album, from the collaborators to the potential tracklist.
Kanye West‘s trolling has managed to hit even higher levels of awkwardness. The Chicago rapper will reportedly be putting a photo of his late mother’s plastic surgeon on his album cover.
Of course, Yeezy shared his intentions via Twitter. Ye posted a text exchange with someone named “Wes” which included a photo of Jan Adams, Donda West’s surgeon.
Akin to numerous other tweets, West said he “wants to forgive and stop hating”
Adam’s performed liposuction and breast reduction surgery on Donda West in 2007. Complications from the procedures are what eventually led to her untimely death.
It’s his album, so Yeezy can do whatever he wants on for its cover. However, we’d prefer a photo of Donda West, or of Ye and Donda, on the cover. Let us know what you think in the comments.
Listen to Bishop Briggs’s debut album ‘Church Of Scars.’
Charlamagne continues to level up. He got a VIP invitation to hear Kanye West’s upcoming album.
The Breakfast Club co-host was spotted on the west coast with Yeezy. According to TMZ got an exclusive preview of the upcoming but yet to be announced album.
A reporter caught ‘Ye leaving his office telling a reporter CThaGod “heard some sh*t”. Both seemed to be in good spirits but did not comment any further while enjoying the Calabasas vibes. Charlamagne posted a photo of the two on his Instagram account.
Upon returning to New York City the Black Privilege author detailed his meeting with Yeezus during today’s show. “I heard some music, but we weren’t really building about music. We was just building about life. We grown with kids and wives. We was talking about therapy. Just grown man stuff. You may or may not hear the conversation,” he explained.
For the last couple of months Kanye has been tucked away in the Midwest working on his eighth studio album. The likes of Nas and Kid Cudi have also been spotted visiting the Wyoming town.
This makes all those philosophical tweets worth it. Today (April 19) via Twitter, Kanye West announced the release dates of albums from himself, Pusha T and a joint project with Kid Cudi.
Yeezy’s album is apparently just seven songs, for now, and will be out June 1.
Then Yeezy announced that just a week later him and Cudi are dropping a joint album called Kids See Ghost. Besides being the name of the album, that’s the name of their group.
Also, Teyana Taylor is dropping an album on June 22.
And last but not least (as far tweet chronology not dates), G.O.O.D. Music President Pusha T will be blessing the massed with a new album on May 25.
Needless to say, rap Twitter is beside itself. Charlamagne Tha God got a listen to the album, but he isn’t giving up much intel.
See more on the flip.
That J. Cole is crafty. After announcing a surprise show tonight (April 16) in NYC, what many speculated is true—J. Cole is dropping a new album.
Fans of the North Carolina rapper won’t have to wait very long, the new album, titled KOD, drops this Friday, April 20.
We figured something was up after Cole dropped bars for the NBA Playoffs commercial.
This story is developing.
