Dolls Kill Arrives on Fairfax Avenue With Concept Shop

WELCOME TO FAIRFAX: Dolls Kill founders and husband-and-wife team Shaudi Lynn and Bobby Farahi saw a nice-looking space on Fairfax Avenue and went for it. The two on Saturday celebrate the grand opening of the company’s second store outside of their hometown of San Francisco, where they opened their first store in the Haight District a year ago.
The Los Angeles location, at 415 North Fairfax Avenue, is designed with an industrial nightclub in mind. To that end, the company imported a sound system from Italian custom audio equipment manufacturer Pequod Acoustics and played up the store’s gritty brick walls.
“Unlike the many retail stores that pop up all over L.A. in locations that over and over serve as some sort of clothing venue, our location on Fairfax had never been a storefront before,” said Shaudi Lynn in reference to the space’s past life as a mattress seller.
The store well exceeds the size of the company’s foray into retail with Fairfax totaling 6,000 square feet and dubbed a concept shop. San Francisco totals 1,100 square feet at 1475 Haight Street.
The Fairfax store’s assortment will include limited drops from the company’s proprietary labels Club Exx, Current Mood, Poster Girl, Widow and Sugar Thrillz

ISLAND LIFE: Dior is alighting on the Greek island of Mykonos this summer with a pop-up shop at the upscale Nammos shopping village from June 15 to Oct. 15.

Item from Maria Grazia Chiuri’s capsule collection for the Dior pop-up in Mykonos.

Hermès Converts N.Y. Men’s Store Into Record Shop

NEW YORK — Hermès has gotten the memo.
The French luxury brand has taken the movement toward experiential retailing to the next level, completely transforming its men’s store here into a vinyl record store for 10 days.
On Thursday night, the Madison Avenue emporium debuted Silk Mix, an art installation centered around music that has already been showcased in Madrid and Rome and now makes its way into the U.S.
“It’s all about silk and music,” said Robert Chavez, chief executive officer of Hermès. The concept was the brainchild of Véronique Nichanian, artistic director of Hermès men’s wear, and Christophe Goineau, creative director of men’s silk. They worked with Thierry Planelle, who has curated music for the company’s men’s shows for the last 15 years, to bring the idea to life.
The main floor was reworked to replicate an old-fashioned record store with bins of albums on display and a bank of turntables to give them a spin. But these albums had an Hermès twist: each of the covers sported a different silk design from the men’s assortment. “There are 225 styles and 53 different patterns,” Chavez said. “And you can pick your favorite and then play it.”

The album covers were all created from

Nordstrom begins opening its New York flagship complex with a men’s store next year and the main women’s store the year after. Sarah Jessica Parker to Open New York Pop-up Shop

Sarah Jessica Parker’s SJP by Sarah Jessica Parker brand will open a New York pop-up for the holiday season.
To be located at 640 Fifth Avenue with an entrance at 52nd Street, the 1,600-square-foot shop will sell an assortment of shoes — including styles reissued from the brand’s 2014 launch collection.
SJP by Sarah Jessica Parker’s line of little black dresses and handbags will also be on sale.
The shop is to be open on Black Friday, Nov. 24, and remain open through Dec. 3. Parker is expected to periodically drop into the store to greet shoppers.
“Having a home in New York for our SJP Collection has been only a seeming fantasy since we launched our brand almost four years ago. So it is with unbridled excitement that we share the news that we have indeed found that home, right off Fifth Avenue, in the heart of Midtown,” Parker said.
The actress, producer and designer’s business partner, George Malkemus, added: ”The very idea of the ultimate New York girl opening a pop-up and, on top of it, one opposite the famous 21 Club, has me pinching myself again and again. I couldn’t be happier for my dear, dear friend and partner, Sarah Jessica Parker.”

Pas de Calais Sets First Paris Shop

PIED-À-TERRE: Pas de Calais, a Japanese brand named after the northern region of France, celebrated the opening of its first flagship in Paris’ trendy Marais area on Wednesday.
“The store will help us raise brand awareness in Europe, where our business is not as large as in the U.S.,” said the label’s chief executive officer Kobayashi Tsukasa, noting the Continent accounts for about 30 percent of total turnover at present.
Designer Yukari Suda said the fall collection was directly inspired by Pas de Calais’ moody weather, which translated into various shades of gray, white as well as creamy tones.
Cashmere, silk and organic, hand-woven Indian Khadi dominated the graceful lineup packed with practical and easy options.
Tie-dyed silk dresses and bathrobe-y cashmere coats stood out in particular.
“I always wanted to create comfortable garments that feel soft on the skin,” said Suda, who is also an avid collector of vintage lace from Pas de Calais, which she incorporates into her collections.
Pieces retail from $ 250 for a top; dresses average between $ 400 and $ 600, while coats start at $ 1,000.
The roughly 800-square-foot unit at 15 Rue de Poitou, which replaces former multibrand store Shine, matches the brand’s organic, artisanal feel, featuring textured walls, rustic, wooden furniture and hand-laid wooden floors resembling an arty jigsaw puzzle.

Where New York’s Most Fashionable People Shop

by Jayna Maleri, Condé Nast Traveler

2015-09-18-1442600951-2740581-1.jpg
Courtesy The Line

These are the vintage boutiques, bookstores, and shops where you’re most likely to spot the New York Fashion Week crowd.

New York Fashion week kicks off tomorrow, which means this (already chic) city is about to get an extra dose of style. Editors, photographers, designers, bloggers, and street style stars will be seen scurrying from one show to another as quickly as their (improbably high) heels will take them, but even in a packed week of fashion shows, presentations, dinners, parties, and industry events, there’s always time for a little shopping. We asked some of our favorite tastemakers where they shop when they’re in town for the shows, and these are a few of their can’t-miss spots.

1. THE LINE AND THE APARTMENT

If there’s one thing New York’s fashionable set can agree on, it’s that no visit to New York is complete without a stop at The Line and The Apartment on Greene Street in SoHo. Created by twins Kate and Morgan Wendelborn and stylist Vanessa Traina, stepping into the light-filled space is a great way to leave the city behind, if only for a few moments. “There is no better escape from the streets of New York Fashion Week than The Line and The Apartment,” says Traina. “You can put your feet up for a minute while shopping a beautifully curated selection of fashion and home and beauty goods. You will no doubt walk out with a new fashion week wardrobe of our classic and covetable pieces.” Style star (and Condé Nast Travelercontributing editor) Sofia Sanchez de Betak agrees: “It’s the most comfortable place to shop in the city,” she says “It just feels like you’re at home.”

2. DE VERA ANTIQUES

For vintage finds and exquisite antique jewelry, head to the well-curated De Vera Antiques on Crosby Street. “Every object is chosen with an impeccable eye, and you can expect to find ancient Roman glass next to Meiji period kokeishi dolls,” says brand consultant and curator Hikari Yokoyama. “The owner also makes jewelery from antique pieces like Georgian brooches, hand-cut diamonds, and Sardinian coral. Prices can be shocking,” she warns, “but it is still worth a visit. And don’t be shy–ask questions about the objects, you’ll leave with a mini history lesson.” You also might spot designer Isabel Marant, who calls De Vera “My very own cabinet de curiosités.”

Courtesy Fivestory

3. FIVESTORY

Though much of the action during New York Fashion Week takes place downtown, Fivestory, Claire Distenfeld’s multi-floor shopping experience on the Upper East Side, is a guaranteed way to get the fashion-focused to venture above 14th Street. “New York has a wonderful culture of multi-brand stores where you can always discover new things,” says Hikari Yokoyama “Fivestory is one of my favorites.” It’s also tops fashion consultant and street style star Miroslava Duma’s list. “I love how elegant everything is in Fivestory and how Claire is taking chances with young, not-yet-established designers,” says Duma. “Everyone should try to take time during fashion week to pop in this very inspiring store.”

4. WHAT GOES AROUND COMES AROUND

For anyone looking to hit the throwback jackpot, vintage store What Goes Around Comes Around on West Broadway has the potential for major payoff. The flagship store, which opened in 1993 (and has since spun off locations in Los Angeles, East Hampton, and Kuwait City) is the best place to go to find luxe secondhand goods, from labels like Chanel, Hermes, and Comme des Garcons. “Shopping here is like a treasure hunt,” says System Magazine co-founder Elizabeth von Guttman. And for those even more adventurous shoppers, here’s a tip, courtesy of Hikari Yokoyama: “You can make an appointment to visit their warehouse, and they’ll let you dig through the massive spread of Americana-focused treasures they have there.”

5. THE STRAND BOOKSTORE

A New York institution, which famously carries “18 miles of books,” Strand Book Store is a bibliophile’s paradise on Broadway that has been selling new, used, and rare books since 1927. It’s also an unlikely spot to recharge between shows. “I love to go there just to relax and look through old books,” says Sofia Sanchez de Betak. And model/stylist Tati Cotilar puts it even more succinctly when she says: “It’s the best bookstore downtown.”

Comme des Garçons Pocket Shop Opens in New York

HOW CONVENIENT: Pocket, Rei Kawakubo‘s answer to the bodega, lands in New York City today at 112 10th Avenue. Comme des Garçons said it likens the Pocket concept, which launched in Tokyo department stores in 2007, to a modern-day convenience store for “pocket-sized items that you don’t have to think about too much and can buy on a whim.” That means mostly the Play, Wallets and Parfum collections.
Adrian Joffe, president of Comme des Garçons International, said the concept “celebrates the ease, efficiency and affordability of a convenience store.”
This is the first freestanding Pocket in the United States. There are now 30 Pocket shops worldwide in Japan, South Korea, Hong Kong and Thailand, as well as Singapore, Berlin, Amsterdam, Paris and Melbourne. The company’s Dover Street Market stores also have dedicated Pocket spaces, as does its Comme des Garçons store in Chelsea.

DIVIDED WE STAND: Swedish retailer H&M’s Divided collection will launch a six-week pop-up shop in East London’s Old Truman Brewery to celebrate its Nineties grunge-inspired Divided Loves Music summer collection.
Starting on July 23, the Divided Loves Music pop-up will host a range of activities, including DJ sets, musical performances, late night “lock-ins,” jewelry design workshops, and nail and body art on Dray Walk. The British singer-songwriter and Grammy Award winner Foxes is the face of the campaign and an inspiration behind the collection.
“For us it feels important to continue with the campaign theme — ‘H&M Loves Music’ — where we want to introduce new talents and their music to a wider audience,” said a spokesman for the brand.
Prices range from 7.99 pounds, or $ 12.59, for a Foxes cropped T-shirt to 39.99 pounds, or $ 62.84, for a long-fringed waistcoat. The line also includes denim and printed separates. “By launching a pop-up in East London we have the opportunity to offer H&M’s Divided collection to such a diverse range of shoppers and fashion lovers in an innovative and fun way,” says Carlos Duarte, country manager H&M U.K. and Ireland.
At 1,100 square feet, the pop-up’s interior design will consist of raw, concrete scaffolding features,

Neil Young Releases Anti-Starbucks, Anti-GMO Anthem ‘A Rock Star Bucks A Coffee Shop’

Rocker Neil Young has released a new anthem about Starbucks, but don’t expect to hear it at any of the company’s coffee shops.

In the tune “A Rock Star Bucks A Coffee Shop,” Young rips into Starbucks for its alleged support of genetically modified organisms, a.k.a. GMOs.

“I want a cup of coffee but I don’t want a GMO,” Young sings. “I’d like to start my day off without helping Monsanto.”

The tune has Young’s vintage sound, from his trademark distorted electric guitar to his distinctive voice, and the video shows him and the band tossing their coffee cups.

Check it out in the clip above.

The new song will be part of Young’s upcoming concept album, “The Monsanto Years,” which drops on June 30 and features Lukas and Micah Nelson, sons of country music legend Willie Nelson, as well as Lukas’ band, Promise of the Real.

Young and the band performed an acoustic version of the title track at an event in Hawaii over Memorial Day weekend.

The Farm Aid co-founder has accused Starbucks of teaming up with Monsanto to try to derail a first-in-the-nation law in Vermont set to take effect next year that would require the labeling of products with genetically modified ingredients.

“Hiding behind the shadowy ‘Grocery Manufacturers Association,’ Starbucks is supporting a lawsuit that’s aiming to block a landmark law that requires genetically-modified ingredients be labeled,” Young wrote on his website last year. “Amazingly, it claims that the law is an assault on corporations’ right to free speech.”

Starbucks, which is an “affiliate member” of the GMA, has said it does not support the lawsuit and denies participating in it or aligning itself with Monsanto on the issue.

“Starbucks has not taken a position on the issue of GMO labeling,” the company said in a statement released online. “As a company with stores and a product presence in every state, we prefer a national solution.”

Pop-Up Shop Will Charge Women Less To Reflect State’s Wage Gap

A pop-up shop for gender wage equality could be coming to a city near you.

Created by graphic designer Elana Schlenker, the store called 76<100 was created to build awareness around the gender wage gap in Pennsylvania. The shop kicked off its grand opening on April 14 (Equal Pay Day) in Pittsburgh. The name 76<100 reflects the pay gap in Pennsylvania, where women make 76 cents to every man’s dollar. The store charges its male customers 100 percent of the retail price of items and charges female customers 76 percent of this price.

“The pricing structure is intended to be tongue-in-cheek, to grab the community’s attention and then foster dialogue around the issue,” Schlenker told The Huffington Post.

The store features products and goods made all by women, including books, stationary, ceramics and textiles. “I’ve read article after article about the wage gap and the ways in which women are perceived (and undervalued) in the workplace,” Schlenker said. “And when I had the idea to do a shop with this ‘pay what you’re paid’ pricing, I felt like it could be a really powerful, positive and fun way to approach this issue and also connect with other women whose work I admire.”

inside store

Schlenker plans to travel across the U.S. with 76<100 to promote awareness around specific states' wage gaps. Her next stop is New Orleans, Louisiana, where women are paid on average 66 cents to every man’s dollar. The store will be appropriately named 66<100 and, fittingly, women will only be charged 66 percent of the retail price. “More than anything that is what I hope for — to get people talking about the wage gap and these other women’s issues, and to understand that remedying this isn’t about discriminating against men, or even passing legislation necessarily,” Schlenker said. “There are a lot of more deeply seeded issues and biases in our society that are perpetuating this problem. Recognizing this, while encouraging women to ask for what they’re worth is, is one small step toward positive change.”

pay

76<100 is not for profit and all of the income made from the store will go directly to the female artists and designers whose products are featured in the store. “Wage equality also incorporates many different issues for women and men — women’s self-worth, perceptions of women in the workplace, parental leave policies, racial issues, education, minimum wage — it’s not just about earning what men earn,” she said. An awesome bargain and fighting the wage gap? We’ll take that deal any day.

Head over to 76<100's website to read more about the store.

Presley bends over his tender ass and begs for someone to fuck it. Presley becomes everyone’s slut, using his hands, mouth and hole to please as many cocks as he possibly can. Presley’s strung up in the window as he’s flogged in front of the crowd. His screams get the crowd going again, so they bring him to the floor and take turns ramming their cocks up the boy’s ass. 9 Things We Loved from Russian Fashion Week: Who to Know, Where to Shop, and More

Fashion Week Russia

Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week Russia isn’t just a runway full of duds from the USSR. Neither is it the logomania kitsch that flooded Russia after the fall of the Soviet Union in the early nineties. Instead, it’s a developing hub for small designers as well as off-the-beaten-path concept stores. And this season, it wasn’t the loud and bold that reigned the Fashion Week—up-close-and-personal presentations by labels like ZDDZ and J.Kim were favorite breakout stars, while stores like the charming INDEXflat and too-hip Kuznetsky Most 20 were havens for shopping. Here, see the best designers and shopping sites from the Eastern empire—it’s hardly your babushka’s wardrobe.

1. ZDDZ gives a taste of Russian #TBT

Already a burgeoning international success, VFiles graduate Dasha Selyanova of ZDDZ took her collection back to the motherland, this time with a touch of the tongue-in-cheek references that Muscovite cool kids love: JNCO-sized wide-leg trousers with metallic patchwork (influenced by Selyanova’s time as a member of a rap group in nineties Saint Petersburg), as well as oversize blazers and parochial-style skirts reminiscent of school uniforms.

Born in Uzbekistan to Korean emigrants, Moscow-based Jenia Kim translates her heritage into her designs. Next Paris Fashion Week, expect to see several Muscovite It girls donning Kim’s coats dotted with delicate but contrasting embroideries of Korean characters and petals, as well as dresses with hand-sewn illustrations of traditional Korean dancers.

Though she began her career as an abstract artist, Olia Shurygina started her own label Cap America after she wanted to bring her creations from the easel to the people. There are plenty of asymmetrical slip dresses and staple coats in a Pop Art–friendly color wheel of primary colors.

Don’t want to shop at a knock-off-ridden bazaar or a crowded shopping center in Moscow? Head over to Kuznetsky Most 20, or KM20, a concept store run by It girl Olga Karput. It’s a haven for labels like Hood By Air, Jacquemus, and Ashish. But it’s not just the Western imports—KM20 is also one of the biggest supporters of motherland designers like Gosha Rubchinskiy, ZDDZ, Walk of Shame, Tigran Avetisyan, and Nina Donis. (And the best part? If you’re hungry after all that shopping, you can grab a vegan-friendly dish or a cold-pressed juice at the café.)

Clothing Labels List Sweatshop Atrocities So Buyers Will Shop More Consciously

The writing on clothing labels is generally kept pretty pithy, because unless customers are shopping in Milan, they’re likely not all that interested in the details of their garments’ origins.

But, in reality, just as important as fit and comfort is where clothes are made and how the people who produced them were treated in the process. That’s why advocacy group Canadian Fair Trade Network recently unveiled a powerful campaign that outlines on actual clothing labels the types of horrors sweatshop workers in Cambodia, Sierra Leone and Bangladesh face.

The stories represent what transpires at three levels of production — harvesting, textile production and garment manufacturing.

A bright yellow sweater, for example, describes the devastating daily schedule of a child laborer in Cambodia.

labor

The label reads: 100% cotton. Made in Cambodia by Behnly, 9 years old. He gets up at 5:00 am every morning to make his way to the garment factory where he works. It will be dark when he arrives and dark when he leaves. He dresses lightly because the temperature in the room he works reaches 30 degrees. The dust in the room fills his nose and mouth. He will make less than a dollar, for a day spent slowly suffocating. A mask would cost the company ten cents.

The label doesn’t tell the whole story.

In 2012, Cambodia shipped more than $ 4 billion worth of products to the United States and Europe, making the garment industry its most lucrative export. Yet the industry’s workers typically toil six days a week and make just $ 100 a month, barely enough to cover their basic expenses, according to advocacy group Clean Clothes.

Some major European companies, like H&M, have heeded to mounting pressure and recently pledged to improve meager wages for factory workers.

H&M committed to developing pay structures that would enable a fair living wage in 750 factories it works with, including those in Cambodia and Bangladesh, by 2018.

Often, however, it isn’t just the meager wages that concern workers most. It’s the fact that they face unsafe working conditions that could cost them their lives, as the label on a sleek suit jacket demonstrates.

cambodia

The label reads: 100% cotton. Made in Bangladesh by Joya who left school at the age of 12 to help support her two brothers and newly widowed mother. Her father was killed when a fire ripped through the cotton factory where he works. She now works in the building across the street from the burned down factory. A constant reminder of the risk she takes every day.

The label doesn’t tell the whole story.

The hazardous conditions workers in Bangladesh are subjected to made international headlines in 2012 when 112 laborers died in the country’s worst-ever factory fire. Walmart, Disney and Sears were among the U.S. retailers who imported clothing from the devastated factory.

Perhaps what was most distressing though, was that Walmart and Gap rejected a proposed plan a year earlier that would’ve required them to pay their suppliers more in order to improve safety conditions, Bloomberg reported.

In 2013, a some major U.S. and European retailers, including H&M, signed an international five-year accord that demanded independent safety inspections of factories in Bangladesh and that participating companies pay up to $ 500,000 a year for safety improvements. Walmart declined to get involved and said it was forming its own safety plan.

To help customers support companies that partake in fair trade practices, the Canadian Fair Trade Network offers customers an extensive shopping guide. It lists Canadian companies that partake in fair-trade practices and also enables shoppers to search by product to find manufacturers they can trust. To urge companies to improve wages for factory workers in Cambodia, Clean Clothes launched a petition to urge H&M to do even more to protect workers there.

Find out more about the campaign and how you can get involved here.

The same bucolic pattern of Dorothy’s Wizard of Oz dress was revived on the spring 2015 runways in cheery baby blue short sets at Diane von Furstenberg, in red cinched skirt suits at Altuzarra, and prairie-friendly tan frocks at Bottega Veneta. Follow a virtual yellow brick road, and shop the gingham trend of spring right now.

Watch Valentina Zelyaeva Shop the Farmer’s Market—and Make Her Favorite Healthy Sunchoke Soup

Valentina Zelyaeva healthy sunchoke soup recipe

Stepping into model Valentina Zelyaeva’s downtown apartment can feel like a New Year’s resolution wake-up call. The Russian beauty and longtime face of Ralph Lauren takes a 360-degree health-conscious approach to all aspects of her life. Zelyaeva’s guest room is currently being modified into a “zen zone” where she can meditate, while her Ocelot-sized cat has a more balanced diet than most—we’re talking organic chicken, fish oil, and cucumbers. Her lifestyle site, ValZelyaeva.com is also a vitamin-fueled, inspirational mecca for anyone who wants to learn about the benefits of clean eating and regular exercise.

Each month, Zelyaeva shares a lineup of colorful recipes, from a breakfast made of shredded apples with cinnamon, fresh blackberries, and oranges, and beauty tips that include natural toothpaste concoctions and juices for the skin. But according to Zelyaeva, the trajectory from fledgling model to wellness-guru-in-the-making didn’t happen overnight. As a young girl growing up in Moscow, she recalls traveling to her grandparents’ village, where everything was fresh from the ground to the table, but that quickly changed when she started modeling. Constant travel soon contributed to a seesaw diet that swung between a surplus of junk food or a salads-only approach. “I had no idea about nutrition. I thought by eating salads you’ll stay skinny,” she says. “Later, I discovered that it is more than that. You need good fats, you need proteins, and my roots reminded me of that.”

Now, Zelyaeva is studying to be health coach and will graduate from New York City’s Institute for Integrative Nutrition this March. And it doesn’t stop there: She wants to branch her knowledge of all-things healthy into a potential book and, eventually, offer a series of industry retreats that would equip young models with the knowledge to support a more well-rounded approach to nutrition, cooking, and exercise.

But why wait? In today’s Vogue.com video, we asked Zelyaeva to take us shopping at the Union Square farmer’s market—then show us how to make her favorite quick and easy sunchoke soup. Here’s to healthy beginnings for the year ahead.

The 10 Amazing Things to Do, Eat or Shop to Get Through the Rest Of Winter

The holiday season is coming to its final weeks and this means one and only one thing: The long winter ahead of us, which for much of the country will stretch well into March, April and in some cases, even May. While it may not be another polar vortex, or other wicked winter weather year, that doesn’t mean that month of gray skies, dry air and chilly cold temperatures doesn’t take a toll. By the time early 2015 rolls around, many of us are more than ready for the warmer months again.

But though it’s not always possible to escape the winter season — even a getaway somewhere warm in the midst doesn’t chase it entirely away — there are some great ways to brighten up the dark days and cold nights of this time of the year.

Once the holidays are put to bed and you’ve started taking down the decorations, consider doing a mini-update to your space. It doesn’t have to be a huge overhaul or undertaking of giant proportions. Even just rearranging a few things can make your environment feel fresh and new. It’s a great time to leverage accent items and little details to punch things up. A cozy throw or new coffee table book can do the trick. West Elm’s Ivory Knitted Sequins throw (available in stores and online) weaves shimmery silver sequins into a thick knit that puts an instant bright spot to wherever it lands. Park a new ottoman in any room — especially in a bright color — for a pick-me-up addition. Online retailer Serena & Lily has a good mix for any taste, style or budget.

Of course it’s the little things that are everything to the environment, so even just a pretty candle in a fresh scent can make a difference in taking the winter month’s up a notch. LoveSpoon’s an editor favorite for its soy candles in amazing fragrances. Go with a sweet floral like rose for a soft vibe, or grab the cotton scent for a fresh experience.

Beauty items can also play a huge part during the winter months. You should already have a really good moisturizer for the body, particularly if you’re in cold, dry temperatures this time of year. But a great body scrub in a decadent scent or a fabulous body oil for the bath are also must-haves. Believe it or not, Whole Foods can be an amazing source for these types of items and often the products are natural, organic, cruelty-free, etc.

Food never fails to warm the heart and home, especially when it comes to home cooking. But you can cheat a little with pre-made items without skimping on that homemade experience. Trader Joe’s is an ace for this type of stuff — the mini frozen tacos in any combination are delicious. For more of an upgrade to a truly fresh made meal, keeping things healthy and whole is easier than ever. A big trend at the moment is to do interesting and unexpected things with items like rice and quinoa — adding brown sugar, fresh fruits and other unique items and recipe treats. There are so many great startup, boutique and incredible new food companies on the market — Mighty Rice, Justin’s nut butters, Fork In The Road meats, etc. It’s easier than ever to experiment.
