Wiz Khalifa isn’t new to Hollywood, but it has been a while since he has graced the big or small screen. Apple announced that everyone’s favorite stoner will have a recurring role in the first season of the Apple TV+ show Dickinson.
In the upcoming show that stars Hailee Steinfield as Emily Dickinson, the “Black and Yellow” crafter will take on the role of Death. Per a release from Apple, the character is described by Apple as Dickinson’s “muse” in multiple episodes. Wiz was not featured in the show’s first trailer which gave us a first look at the show. In it for some reason has Steinfeld’s portrayal of Dickinson twerking and shouting in the air.
Speaking on the addition of Wiz to the cast, creator and showrunner Alena Smith added in a statement:
“It was a true gift to be able to cast Wiz in this series. We had a creative meeting of the minds in approaching the character, and his playful spirit fit in perfectly with the mischievous tone of the show.”
Dickinson joins an ambitious slate of original shows coming to the Apple TV+. Other shows subscribers can look forward to are See starring Jason Momoa, The Morning Show with Reese Witherspoon, Jennifer Anniston and Steve Carrell and more. The service officially launches November 1 and will only cost $ 4.99 a month. If you purchase any of Apple’s recently announced devices like the iPhone 11 Pro or Max, you will get the service free for a year.
You can check out the trailer for Dickinson below.

Jeremy Scott will be staging his pre-fall 2020 women’s Moschino show Dec. 9 in the subway. But unlike Tom Ford’s moody spring 2020 extravaganza that had showgoers sitting on the platform of the abandoned Bowery station, Scott’s show will be inside the subway cars at the New York Transit Museum, the country’s largest museum devoted to urban public transportation history.
“I have never had a Moschino show in New York besides H&M and I thought there would be nothing more quintessential New York than the subway,” said Scott, who lived in the city when he attended Parsons School of Design. “I love all the people and characters you experience and the way it’s a melting pot of style. When I was in school, I remember the subway being a spotlight when you were dressed up, because it’s very brightly lit. It’s already like a runway.”

At the museum, guests will also be able to learn about the history of the New York City subway, bus and commuter rail systems. “They have all the old subway cars going from the 1940s, when they had wicker seats, and all the ads from

PARIS — For its first fashion show outside of France, AMI is headed to Shanghai. Signaling a fresh Asian thrust for the brand, the show will be held on Oct. 12, preceded by pop-up stores in Shanghai, Beijing and Chengdu, which will open on Oct. 1.
“We’re heading into our ninth year and the number nine is a lucky number for me so we decided to celebrate this anniversary rather than the 10th,” Alexandre Mattiussi, AMI creative director, told WWD.
Mattiussi, who showed his label’s first collection in January 2011, said the label has a certain resonance in Asia.
“It’s a French designer at an affordable price point,” is how chief executive officer Nicolas Santi-Weil described the label’s positioning. Mattiussi started the label because “he loved beautiful things but he felt a little disconnected with reality because all the garments he was designing were sold at a price point that he could not afford himself,” said Santi-Weil, recalling the designer’s days at Givenchy.
“AMI is appreciated in Asia because it’s a Parisian postcard,” said Mattiussi. At the same time, he said he might make small adjustments, like changing a fabric or a certain color.
“We continue the story we started in Europe, it’s uninterrupted, the
WE THE PEOPLE: Politics is a conversation thread bound to pretty much any social or professional setting and fashion shows are no exception. Before the lights went down at the Chiara Boni La Petite Robe show Saturday, Kerry Kennedy, president of the nonprofit Robert F. Kennedy Human Rights, mentioned another commitment coming up — attending the next Democratic presidential debate Thursday night at Texan Southern University in Houston. The upcoming showdown will feature 10 of the Democratic candidates.
Kennedy said, “I think we are really lucky as Democrats because there are so many. Really we have such a strong field. But I think the only question is, ‘How do we beat Trump?’”
This week’s debate will be the first where rival frontrunners Joe Biden, Elizabeth Warren and Bernie Sanders will be on the same stage. As for whether Kennedy has decided on a candidate, she said, “I think Joe Biden has the best chance to win and Elizabeth Warren is somebody who has a great vision and such depth on the issues. She would bring our country in a very new, dynamic and wonderful direction.”

Karl Lagerfeld’s most fantastical Chanel fashion show sets are the subject of the upcoming Rizzoli book “Lagerfeld: The Chanel Shows.”
A collection of images by English photographer Simon Procter, the book documents many of the late Chanel designer’s runways from the last 10 years, including his very last collection for the fall 2019 ready-to-wear season — shown at the Grand Palais, designed to resemble a snowy Alpine ski resort — two weeks after his death.
“Lagerfeld: The Chanel Shows” book cover
As Lagerfeld once stated, his set design ideas would come to him in his sleep. Procter’s images reflect the grandeur of these sets, including when the Grand Palais was transformed into a tropical beach, a 100-foot-high waterfall and a rocket ship, to name a few.
Procter also gives a behind-the-scenes look at many of Lagerfeld’s shows, documenting intimate moments between the designer and his model muses.
“I was lucky enough to meet him many times over the years; it was always a delight and we always did great work,” Procter writes in the book’s preface. “The two things I remember most were that he always personally greeted everyone in the room. The other, that he was very, very funny. Many times whoever was

Coach’s creative director Stuart Vevers is sticking close to home for his spring 2020 runway show: The designer has decided to show his latest collection on the Spur and Coach Passage, the newest sections of the High Line park, the brand has exclusively revealed to WWD.
Coach and its parent, Tapestry Inc., in 2016 moved their global headquarters to 10 Hudson Yards — situated at the foot of the High Line.
“I’m excited to present our spring collection on the High Line, a place that inspires me,” said Vevers, who showed his first official runway show for the brand on the elevated former railroad line in 2015. “I used to walk to the studio every day on the High Line. I love the industrial railroad history that has been transformed into the green heart of downtown New York. To me, it’s a powerful symbol of New York’s ever-evolving history, and I’m proud to celebrate what makes it special and continue our long-standing support of the park,” he said.
The Coach Passage, named in recognition of the Coach Foundation’s various gifts to the High Line’s capital campaign, crosses through the brand’s global headquarters and features cathedral-like 60-foot-tall ceilings. As visitors leave the space, they
After more than three decades in the fashion industry, most notably as the cofounder of the Designers & Agents trade show, Barbara Kramer is pivoting to cannabis.
Kramer has opened The Plant Lore, a full-service agency offering branding and product development, sales representation and retail support. Based in Los Angeles, she and her team are representing 10 high-end brands making CBD-infused products, including CBD + Nature (skincare); Gron (beauty and confections); Hello Goldie (tea); Mimoi (color face foundation with SPF); Ondo (tinctures), and Beboe (CBD vape pens). They have partnered with Wunderlich Kaplan Communications to offer brands public relations support.
“I have always been interested in coloring outside the lines,” said Kramer, whose entrepreneurial spirit has moved her from New York to L.A. several times, while she was working as a showroom owner and sales agent for such fashion brands as Tocca, Jean Paul Gaultier and Petit Bateau. She and Ed Mandelbaum started D&A in 1996, focusing on the advanced contemporary category, and expanded the fair beyond New York and L.A. to Paris and Tokyo. Over the years, she’s produced runway shows, collaborated with the CFDA on events and been a buyer for Tootsie Plohound shoe stores. Three years ago, when she started

U.S. Polo Assn. has teamed with Palm Beach County Tourist Development Council to sponsor a new TV and digital show called “Women in Polo: The Palm Beaches,” a 30-minute in-depth look at past, present and future female polo players. The show’s release is in tandem with U.S. Polo Assn.’s yearlong brand campaign, “Inspiring Others,” supporting female polo players through women’s training programs, charities, tournaments, as well as lifestyle and fashion events. The launch is timed with Women’s Equality Day on Aug. 26 which commemorates the 1920 adoption of the 19th Amendment to the U.S. Constitution.
“With U.S. Polo Assn. being the official brand of the United States Polo Association, it was important for us to recognize these amazing women and share their inspirational stories both on and off the polo field,” said J. Michael Prince, president and chief executive officer of USPA Global Licensing Inc., which manages the multi-billion U.S. Polo Assn. brand.
The show will reach more than 100 million households across a national audience and will air Labor Day weekend on the TVG network, which focuses on equestrian sports. In addition to the national broadcast, the show will air on ThePalmBeaches.tv and be available in Palm Beach County hotels and
The future of the Victoria’s Secret Fashion Show is still up in the air. But some people — even some former Angels — don’t seem to care.
In fact, when asked about the show by a fan on “Watch What Happens Live With Andy Cohen,” model and actress Kate Upton, who is also a former Victoria’s Secret catalogue model, likened the whole affair to a “snooze fest.”
“We’re sick of seeing the same body type,” Upton said. “You have to be body inclusive now. Every woman needs to be represented.”
Upton doesn’t seem to be the only one bored by the Fashion Show. Viewership of the annual extravaganza — once considered one of the most sought-after events in the industry — has consistently fallen in recent years.
It didn’t help when Ed Razek, former chief marketing officer of L Brands, parent company to Victoria’s Secret, told Vogue magazine during last fall’s show in New York that “no one had any interest,” in seeing transgender or plus-size models in the fashion show. “Because the show is a fantasy.”
Razek’s comments quickly caused a fury online. (He later apologized by way of social media.)

THE ART OF TRAVEL: Kim Jones is deepening his ties to the art world. The designer plans to show his Dior pre-fall men’s wear collection in Miami on Dec. 3.
Jones staged his first traveling men’s show last year with a men’s pre-fall runway display in Tokyo, featuring a monumental sculpture by Japanese artist Hajime Sorayama. He will hit Miami two days before the start of Art Basel Miami Beach, one of the highlights of the year for art collectors and fashion brands alike.
With collaborations with Kaws, Raymond Pettibon and Daniel Arsham under his belt, it’s highly likely that Jones will tap another artist to work on the show.
“When I do these collections, I always think about what’s going to go in the exhibitions about Dior or Vuitton, whenever, in 50 years’ time, so it’s kind of important to have things that can create a legacy for the brand further along the line,” he told WWD recently.
The choice of location reflects not just Dior’s long-term relationship with the U.S., but also the strategic importance of the U.S. market, which accounted for 23 percent of sales at parent company LVMH Moët Hennessy Louis Vuitton in the first half of 2019.

MILAN — Just ahead of the summer holidays earmarked for most of the Italian fashion crowd, Camera Nazionale della Moda Italiana today released the first official draft of its Milan Fashion Week schedule, running Sept. 17 to 23.
Among the biggest novelties peppering the calendar, Peter Pilotto, after 12 years of shows in London, will make its official debut in Milan with a show on Sept. 18 at the Teatro Manzoni venue.
“We are very honored to join the Camera della Moda Italiana Fashion Week calendar and engage on this new journey,” said Peter Pilotto, who founded the namesake label with Christopher de Vos in 2007. “We are also proud to represent British fashion abroad in such a key and sophisticated fashion capital as Milan.” The brand in January tapped an Italian chief executive officer, Maia Guarnaccia.
The upcoming Milan Fashion Week will also see the debut of the Boss brand, which will stage a coed runway show Sept. 22 at Tortona Area Lab, as well as of leather specialist Drome, which will relocate its show from Paris.
“I think that we are unveiling a great, strong calendar featuring a great mix of international labels, storied brands and talented emerging designers,” said Camera Nazionale della

The Bruce McMouse Show is a previously never-before-seen film that tells the story of how Paul McCartney and Wings came to meet the inimitable impresario Bruce McMouse. Part concert film, part animated feature, 'The Bruce McMouse Show' features footage from Wings’ 1972 European tour, combined with animated scenes that introduce a family of mice living under the stage. After opening the film with ‘Big Barn Bed’, the camera takes us down through the floorboards into this charming animated world. We see Bruce McMouse regale his children with stories from his past, when son Soily rushes into the room in a whirlwind of excitement announcing that “The Wings” are playing above them. As the concert plays on, Bruce declares to his wife Yvonne that Paul and the band need his help. Bruce then proceeds to venture on stage to offers his services as producer… The film was directed by Barry Chattington and produced by Roger Cherrill with the live elements taken from four shows in The Netherlands and Germany in 1972. Paul viewed the initial concert edit and realised there was great potential in the material captured. Prior to the European tour he had the idea of a family of mice and sketched the characters. Picking up the idea, Eric Wylam took Paul’s sketches and created the final McMouse family. This storyline was incorporated and used as a linking theme within the concert footage. The voice-overs for the animated mice took place at the end of 1973, recorded by Paul and Linda McCartney, Deryck Guyler, Pat Coombs and Derek Nimmo. Production stretched from 1972 through to 1977 when the film was complete, however with changes in the band’s line-up and music scene, the project was held in the MPL archives until now. ‘The Bruce McMouse Show’ has been fully restored in 2018 alongside a brand-new stereo mix created at AIR Studios and mastered at Abbey Road Studios.

Dave Chappelle and his stand-up appearances are without a doubt a hot ticket no matter where he’s performing, and a Charlotte couple tried to score big for Chappelle’s Valentine’s Day show. After getting scammed out of $ 500 on Craigslist, Chappelle personally delivered the tickets to the victims and even kicked it with them a bit.
On Thursday night, Dave Chappelle hand-delivered tickets to his Valentine’s Day comedy show to a Charlotte couple who were scammed out of hundreds of dollars trying to purchase the tickets on Craigslist.
Not only did Chappelle hand-deliver the tickets, he sat down to chat with the couple and took time to take pictures with several people in the hotel restaurant.
On Wednesday, WBTV reported that a south Charlotte wife and mother claimed she paid a seller on Craigslist hundreds of dollars for tickets to see comedian Dave Chappelle at the Blumenthal Performing Arts Center, but never received the tickets.
Deidra Dickens thought she scored the deal of a lifetime on Craiglist to surprise her husband, Eddie, who is a huge fan of the comedian. However, the whole thing was a sham but Chappelle managed to save the day.
In video captured by the news outlet, Chappelle had dinner with the couple and posed for flicks for fans in a big-time show of class and grace. Way to go, Dave Chappelle.
Happy Valentine’s Day indeed.

The stars came out for the 76th annual Golden Globes ceremony last night at the Beverly Hilton in Los Angeles, and all eyes were on the red carpet to see who pulled off the best looks. And they didn’t disappoint: Celebs turned out with classic outfits, daring ensembles, and yes, even a few questionable sartorial choices. Below, we’ve rounded up a few of the best dressed men from the 2019 red carpet. Looking to amp up your style game this year? Take some cues from these guys.
Supporting his wife Emily Blunt for her best actress in a musical or comedy nomination, Krasinski stood out in a sea of black suits with his dark navy ensemble. His Christian Louboutin shoes and matching black bow tie (sometimes black and navy do go together) added elegance to his red carpet style. If you’re getting tired of trotting out your same old black suit, take a tip from Krasinski and opt for navy blue instead.
It seems like Bradley Cooper can do anything—write, direct, act, and even pull off an all-white suit. Looking like the complete opposite of the rough-around-the edges musician he played in A Star is Born, the clean-shaven nominee stood out on the red carpet. If you’re considering a similar outfit, take note: His black shoes and bow tie keep him from looking like a polar bear.
The Black Panther himself rocked a custom patterned silver tux designed by Versace. His stylist Ashley Weston described the look as “a work of art”—and we agree.
Idris Elba arrived on the Golden Globes carpet in a patterned turquoise suit with shoes to match. Although he walked the carpet with his jacket unbuttoned and no tie in sight, the rumored next James Bond tidied up his look once he stepped onstage to present an award.
Although he’ll always be the King in The North in our hearts, Richard Madden took home the Golden Globe for best actor in a TV drama for his performance in Bodyguard. He strode down the red carpet in a classy black velvet suit—a great example of how to use different materials, rather than colors, to stand out from the crowd.
Walking the red carpet with his Black Panther co-stars in tow, Michael B. Jordan showed how to use accessories to update a classic look for the modern era: He rocked a black double-breasted Burberry tuxedo, and his diamond-studded lapel pin and Piaget watch made the perfect complements to his jacket. The on-screen villain definitely looked like one of the good guys at last night’s award show.
Christian Bale’s various body transformations throughout the years may have been surprising, but fans were also shocked to hear his Welsh accent onstage at the Golden Globes (where he thanked Satan for inspiring his performance as Dick Cheney). On the red carpet, the Vice star proved that a little color coordination goes a long way—his sleek all-black suit and tie combo worked perfectly with his wife’s black dress.
