IN YOUR SHOES: Exceptionally, Virginie Mouzat was not in heels Thursday night in Paris, despite the occasion: A party she and Colette hosted for New York shoe designer Paul Andrew.
“Much too hot,” she said, motioning to her K. Jacques Saint-Tropez sandals as guests fanned themselves furiously and sipped iced juices in the steamy boutique. Yet the Vanity Fair France fashion and lifestyle features editor-in-chief could not have a higher opinion of Andrew: “For me, he’s the new Manolo Blahnik.”
Colette showcased his Chinoiserie-tinged spring collection, and an exclusive version of his Zenadia pump. “We’ve dyed it exclusively in Vanity Fair red,” Andrew said. Trays of cookies circulated in the exact shape and color of the shoes.
Later, a small group including Colette’s Sarah Andelman, painter James Brown, stylist Catherine Baba and show producer Alexandre de Betak repaired to hipster eatery Heimat for dinner in a vaulted stone room.
Mouzat tapped her glass and made a short speech, praising Andrew’s comfortable, sexy and collectible styles. Baba couldn’t contain her enthusiasm any longer, exclaiming to the room: “Size 38!”

Jim Jones has enjoyed a fruitful and controversial career since he emerged as a successful solo artist in 2006 and that includes various run-ins with rival rappers.
In early 2014, tensions boiled between him and his “frenemy” French Montana and the two were literally scheduled to knuckle up in Miami, but the fight never manifested for whatever reasons.
The Dipset Capo recently appeared on ESPN’s Highly Questionable to answer Bomani Jones and Dan Le Batard’s tangled gauntlet of incriminating questions when that uncooked beef came up in conversation. A highly amused Jimmy knew he had fell into the trap but still offered up his synopsis on the situation sprinkled with a bit of slander because, of course.
“Shout outs to French; he’s a lover not a fighter,” he laughed. “He didn’t want no sauce [with that fight]; I think that would have been his best bet. I still don’t think he want no sauce with that. So he should continue loving, enjoy his career and make the money he’s making because by chance he make that mistake, that’s gonna be a bad mistake for his ass.”
Normally, this would be the time when French would fire back with some slander of his own but he’s currently mourning the loss of his close friend and artist Chinx, so the timing of this interview couldn’t have been any worse.
Reps for Jones tell Hip-Hop Wired that the interview was taped two weeks ago and while Capo isn’t backing down from French being to Kardashian-like to fight him, he didn’t go out his way to disrespect a terrible situation.

Meghan Trainor, whose hit single “All About That Bass” celebrates curvy figures and berates the media for photoshopping women’s bodies, appears digitally slimmed down in photos sent out by the clothing line Ted Baker.
Trainor appeared conspicuously skinnier in photos released Monday by the company than in shots available from Getty Images showing the voluptuous singer in a pencil skirt by Ted Baker at a recent red carpet event. Yahoo Beauty and other outlets reported.
— Styleite (@Styleite) May 12, 2015
Trainor looked thinned-out look because of the editing process to format the pictures in press release email, a Ted Baker representative claimed in a typo-laced statement to Yahoo.
“Our LA based agency did not Photoshop or intentionally alter images in anyway [sic]. We are absolutely mortified by this story as we hold our relationship with Trainor in high regard and we are thrilled that she is a loyal fan of Ted Baker,” a company spokesperson wrote. “[…] Multiple low resolution images of the singer in a Ted Baker pencil skirt were imbedded [sic] in an email pitch. The photos were cropped and reduced in size in order to fit into the email and were not intended to be published in this watermarked format.”
Trainor and Ted Baker didn’t respond to The Huffington Post’s inquiries.

Although everyone is going to be talking about Earth’s Mightiest Heroes in a couple of weeks, 20th Century Fox is making more power moves by rebooting the Fantastic Four franchise. In an epic new trailer, the superpowered quartet gets introduced one by one, and the clip also features an appearance from their chief nemesis, Doctor Doom.
Director Josh Trank’s update takes a new twist on the Fantastic Four of old. In this incarnation, Reed Richards, played by Miles Teller, is a bit younger than the earlier comic and movie versions of Mr. Fantastic. Rounding out the cast is Sue Storm/The Invisible Woman played by Kate Mara, her brother Johnny Storm/The Human Torch played by Michael B. Jordan, and Ben Grimm/The Thing played by Jamie Bell.
As can be seen from the trailer, the gang is slapped together by Dr. Franklin Storm, played by Reg E. Cathey, and that’s just about all one can truly surmise. Richards is some sort of wunderkind who leads the three others on a mission to open up a dimensional portal. While in this realm, the four are transformed from normal human beings to something a bit more, ahem, fantastic.
Longtime fans of the franchise know that Victor Von Doom is the alter-ego of Doctor Doom, but there may be a switch in the character in this version. A supposedly leaked script paints the villain as a computer programmer who goes by the name Doom. Other twists include Johnny Storm being played by a Black man when traditionally he’s been a cocky white guy.
But enough about our speculations and thoughts. Check out the epic Fantastic Four trailer in the clip below. You’ll have to wait until August 7 to see the movie in full, however. Bummer.
Also, in a perfect world, the mysterious MF DOOM makes an appearance on the film’s soundtrack.
