BEIJING — The Yoox Net-a-porter Group said on Thursday it would pull Dolce & Gabbana products off its platforms, the first global retailer to drop the brand in the wake of the posted insults about China sent from designer Stefano Gabbana’s account.
It follows the majority of leading Chinese e-commerce players including Alibaba, JD, Secoo, VIPshop and Netease to drop the Italian fashion house’s products.
The brand will be removed from company’s platforms: Net-a-porter, Mr. Porter and Yoox.com, a spokesperson confirmed to WWD.
Police and security guards have been posted at physical Dolce & Gabbana stores in both Beijing and Shanghai as precautionary measures.
A police officer stands guard outside the Dolce & Gabbana store in SKP Beijing.
Social media platforms in China have filled up with videos of people destroying their Dolce & Gabbana clothes, from burning and shredding them, to using them as rags to clean floors and toilets.

The D-O Double G celebrates his star on the Walk of Fame with a new song.
For the past decade and a half, Kev Brown has occupied a significant segment of underground Hip-Hop and his two-headed skill set has only been refined over the years. It has been an especially busy year for the DMV rapper and producer, dropping his third LP of the year with the potent Fill In The Blank which only aims to heighten the mystique about the man and place him properly next, if not ahead, of his dual-skilled peers.
Fill In The Blank runs for 20 tracks, nine short from the Low Budget Crew member’s epic and equally sweeping Homework album from earlier this year. While the strategy of releases isn’t immediately known, the bookend projects that sandwich the instrumental and wildly experimental Delve Into Classic Moog show and prove that the years haven’t dulled Brown’s ability to craft moments with thumping production and his comfortable, bourbon-soaked rhyme schemes.
Beyond the production, what stands out above anything is Brown’s ability to get mileage out of his verses without breaking a sweat or word count. This efficiency in rhyming, coupled with production that sounds chiseled from the finest boom-bap of the ’90’s and early 2000’s, is only heightened by the fact Brown posts an everyman observational stance via his verses.
Speaking of production, former rapper and producer, and current drummer for funk band The Du-Rites J-Zone gets several shout-outs across the songs for providing the drums on the project.
There are schools of thought that embrace the beauty of simplicity and yes, Brown isn’t looking to emerge as a lyrical vanguard at this stage of his career. Instead, he sticks to his proven formula doing what the beats call for and rapping directly to the listener. There isn’t any abstract meaning hidden in the song, and there’s enough head-nod heat to last you through the chilly fall months and beyond.
Stream Kev Brown’s Fill In The Blank via Spotify below. Hit this link to find where the project is streaming and how you can support the artist with your dollars. And while you’re at it, go grab some high-quality Kev Brown merch here.

It’s been a rough 2018 for Mac Miller. After breaking up with his superstar girlfriend, Ariana Grande, he had to sit around and watch her get engaged to SNL star Pete Davidson while listening as she praised the size of Pete’s manhood (talk about salt in the wound).
Today his fans get the chance to check where Mac’s head is at as he drops his fifth LP, Swimming, and see if he was able to turn his feelings into soul stirring music. Coming in at 13-cuts deep, Swimming features more melodies than bars (a breakup will do that to ya) and features production from Jon Brion and Thundercat.
Check out Mac Miller’s Swimming below and let us know if you think he got that work.

Drizzy just dropped “Duppy Freestyle,” and he wants all the smoke.
If you’ve been under a rock, Pusha’s track “Infrared” took multiple shots at Drake and his use of ghostwriters, per usual. Push confirmed to The Breakfast Club that the retort was due to Drake’s “Two Birds One Stone” from a couple of years back.
Now it seems like Push put the battery in Drizzy’s back. The Toronto rapper is back in rappity rap mode.
“I could never have a Virgil in my circle and hold him back ’cause he makes me nervous/I wanna see my brothers flourish to a higher purpose/You n*ggas leeches and serpents /I think it’s good that now the teachers are learning,” spit Drake (that was for Ye).
He added (and this is for Push), “Your brother said it was your cousin then him then you, so you don’t rap what you did, you just rap what you knew/Don’t be ashamed there’s plenty n*ggas that do what you do, there’s no malice in your heart, you an approachable dude.”

On the road to achieving a more inclusive fashion industry, ModCloth has been one of the biggest pioneers, based on its extensive size options and willingness to feature women of all shapes and sizes.
Now, the website has taken yet another step toward body equality, by doing something at the forefront of every body diversity advocate’s agenda: dropping labels altogether. In doing so, the brand hopes to improve the shopping experience for everyone.
The decision to remove its plus-size section came after the site conducted a survey of 1,494 women in the U.S between the ages of 18-35, finding that 60 percent of women feel embarrassed going to a different store or section to find their size, and 79 percent say the fashion industry ignores the needs of plus-size women.
Co-founder and Chief Creative Officer Susan Gregg Koger told The Huffington Post that combining all of its sizes is something the company has already had success with in its San Francisco Fit Shop. “We knew we had to translate that inclusive experience to our website and apps. Our categories should be defined by types of clothing, not bodies. Our community is the foundation of all we do at ModCloth, and our goal is to promote positivity and inspire confidence. This is another step towards body- and size-inclusivity.”
We’ll shop to that.

(AllHipHop News) It appears all the hype over Drake and Future’s collaborative project What A Time To Be Alive is waning. Drizzy Hendrix had the internet going crazy as speculation something big was coming from the two stars, and when WATTBA finally hit iTunes fans gave the project one of the biggest sales weeks of the year (334,000 pure albums).
However, week 2 was not as big for Drake and Future. The project pushed just 65,000 copies in its sophomore week. That accounts for an 81% drop in sales, one of the worst declines for a #1 album from a debut week to a second week in Hip Hop history.
Other top-selling albums to see a significant fall in sales its next week are Mac Miller’s Blue Slide Park (83% – 144,000 to 25,000), Kanye West’s Yeezus (80% – 327,000 to 65,000), Jay Z’s Kingdom Come (79% – 680,000 to 140,000), and Kanye West’s My Beautiful Dark Twisted Fantasy (78% – 496,000 to 108,000).
Drake and Future were able to remain in the Top 5 in their second week. Thanks in part to streaming totals, What A Time landed at #2. Fetty Wap’s self-titled album is currently at #1.

The 2015 MTV Video Music Awards was one hell of a show. Kanye announced his run for presidency in 2020 (#Kanye2020), Nicki Minaj settled her feud with Taylor Swift and Miley Cyrus pulled a Beyonce and dropped an entire album for free.
Yes, after giving what was definitely the most bizarre performance of the night (we get it Miley, you smoke pot), the “Wrecking Ball” singer went ahead and pulled out one last stop, releasing her new album, “Miley and her Dead Petz.” For free.
If the song titles (“Bang Me Box,” “I’m so Drunk” and “Slab of Butter” for example) are any indication, it’s going to be seriously trippy. You can download it for yourself right here.

Meek Mill called AR-Ab a d*ck rider because he dared to speak his mind. Now the Philly rapper and known street dude has responded with a fiery diss track over Drake’s “Back To Back” instrumental.
This all started when Drizzy rapped, “I waited four days, ni**a, where y’all at?/I drove here in the Wraith playin’ AR-Ab” on his “Back To Back” diss aimed at Meek Mill.
Then Vlad TV asked AR-Ab about the situation and he basically said Meek needed to step his game up.
Clearly anything but praise is taken as hate by Meek Mill, so he proceeded to called AR a “d*ck rider” while performing in Camden, NJ (which is just outside of Philly) on Thursday night (August 6).
When AR-Ab got wind of Meek’s comments, he initially took to Twitter to respond, saying “I just hope ni**as can stand behind they words.”
Rather than rely on his Twitter fingers, AR dropped a diss track, and it’s actually has its moments.
“Why you diss me, need to diss Drake/That ni**a killed you, first 48,” spits Ar.
Listen below. Meek keeps invited the drama to his doorstep, doesn’t he? As for what Meek’s up to, hit the flip.
